Conversation with Addison

I picked Addison up from school today and had this conversation in the car.

Me: "how was your day, what did you do today?"

A: "we painted our pumpkins with our prayer partners, it was fun."
A: "mommy, mommy, mommy...guess who's in my class?"

Me: "who?"

A: "A boy named Justin" (with a very sweet voice).
"he is really nice...i looove him."

Me: "really, do you two hold hands?"(trying to remain calm)

A: "no, we don't hold hands, he held my back and we danced!!! He 's a really good boy."

Me: i have no idea what to say at this point but I'm giggling. and she's just chuckling away about him back there...with a huge grin on her face. she just lights up when she talked about him all day today.

this evening before bedtime, we called daddy to tell him about Justin...she wanted me to tell him about her new found friend...daddy's gonna have nightmares...

i know this is the first of many boys we will be talking about in the future...i just hope and pray they are all this innocent. :)
