Potty training continued...

So potty training is going really well...I don't want to jinx us but we have had 2 days of no accidents...I tell you all this because going out in public is really hard...i went to get a portable toilet seat and can't find one, maybe we will go on an adventure today to look for one...any suggestions (wal-mart is out)...but she will have many false alarms when we are out and about making it difficult go anywhere...what to do?

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY...a day late.

Happy Father's day to all the father's out there...here is the one near and dear to my heart. He is amazing with his little one...works three jobs, stays at home with Addison so she doesn't have to go to daycare...truly a hands on dad. I can't say enough about their relationship except it is beautiful and I can't way to watch it grow over the years. She is one blessed little lady.

Addison and daddy at the museum

On her way to the cemetery to put flowers on her Grandpa's grave....She will never know him but will will make certain she knows who he was...

Her first visit to Grandpa's grave...

Robert's dad's grave, he left this world earlier than he should have but served his country in a time of need and the VA cemetery is a magnificent site if none of you have ever seen it...

Papa Greg...we certainly need a new photo of these two...

Pops...hanging out in the backyard...

A day at the museum

We took Addison to the museum at the woodlands mall the other day and she loved it...may be a place we frequent this summer...it's indoors and she can wear herself out...not to mention it's super cheap.

in the dino pit...made of recycled tires...

we couldn't peel her away from the house...it was the first place we went and spent most of our time...she was a cooking fool...

the tunnel...again and again until we were run off by the older wild children...

painting...hopefully never on my walls at home...

potty training...

Addison has been ready to potty train for a while...she is constantly telling us when she goes to the restroom and is definately interested in what is going on in the there. One problem, her answer was always "No mama, no TT on the potty"....everyday, even if we tried candy as a motivator. Then last week I went to Babies R us and got her her own "toilet" as she likes to call it. It's the one that goes on top of the real toilet...and got her a stool to go along with it. She's tall enough to get herself up there and since that time, we have made leaps and bounds in the potty training world. She has gone TeeTee and PooPoo on the big potty...still no real consistency but definately moving foward...
No pics this week, haven't really done much that warrants pictures...hope you all are doing well...and staying cool in this heat

my princess

I have a pedicure addict on my hands...if i mention that i'm going to get my toes done...she's ready to go...here is a pic of nancy doing her toes...she just sits there...let's her trim her toenails and everything...complete with soaking in the water first...it is so cute...

Ice cream

The other night i was really craving ice cream and robert was working all night so Addison and i loaded up and went to Brewsters...we went through the drive through but Addison really wanted a cone like mommy so i pulled into a parking spot and let her have at it...

Playdate with Sienna and Brayden

Yesterday we took a trip to Heather's house for a playdate. The kids had a blast playing in the pool and on the water mat...

Addison giving Sienna a hug

There three little tooshies when playtime was over...soooo cute

fun hair...

Huge step forward

As you can see by the video, Addison is making huge strides in the pool. For those of you who don't know her well, she is afraid of pretty much everything. This would include water of every kind except the bath water. Up until this point, she would barely put her feet in the water holding on tight to someone and don't even expect that she would go near the water if any othe child was in there and could possibly splash her...don't know where all the fear stems from but i'll take these baby steps forward...

After bath mess

After her bath, Addison was drawing with her markers right in front of me...don't know how i missed the marks going down her belly and arms...i saw her trying to color her hands and put handprints on the paper but that was no big deal...compared to what i saw when she got up from her desk...back to the bath we went...thanking the good Lord above for washable markers

Jumping on the bed

Just about every night after bathtime, Addison wants to jump on the bed...not exactly winding down but definately getting some much needed energy out...she is so cute when she's jumping, i tried to catch some of it on video, sorry some of it is a little blurry.

Last Day of Mother's Day Out

Last week Addison had her last day of mother's day out...it took her until the last couple of weeks to not cry everytime we left the room, but at least it happened. This was her teacher Mrs. Diane...she was so good with her, so patient with her crying when we left, and came up with new ways to help her at ease with us leaving, giving her bubbles, tattoos, different toys....something always seemed to work. Mrs. Diane will be keeping kids at her house this summer and has a son Addison's age so we will probably let her go over there every other week or so to remember it's ok that we are leaving her and we will be back.
