Santa adventure...
We went to see Santa this morning to take pictures with him. we arrived promptly at 11 so as to not have to stand in long lines and when we arrived santa himself was standing outside talking with the kiddos that were already there. The photographer was running a little late. Addison waved to him and walked over to him but wouldn't get in his arms...i thought we were going to have bloody murder screams but when it was time to get in his lap...she was just in awe of him. no tears, no smile. she just sat there with her arms way out to the side looking around and then all of a sudden she looked at him and we got our shot...it was priceless.

visit from aunt coty and uncle brad
brad and coty came up today to go shopping in h-town so they decided to stop by for a little while...Addison has been sick but had a good time playing with grasyn. Grasyn is getting so big and beginning to walk, she takes 5-6 steps all by herself before she goes down...she is so cute too...has a great little personality, and a little bulldozer, nothing gets in her way or stops her...took some shots of the girls throughout the day but they are backwards so start at the bottom and work your way back up.
Addison kissing Grasyn as she sleeps...so cute.
both of them pretending to take a nap

snow
Can any of you believe snow has fallen so early...i know it didn't stick so there is none to roll around in but it was sure fun to take the kids outside and see there reaction to it...
initial dislike for being outside when it's so cold and then stuff was falling on her...no good
you could see it on the mulch around the tree
ironic that sienna and addison have the same jacket...no it wasn't planned.

Here is the first video of her in the snow, and it's a pretty good take on how she felt about it...

NAP
i was doing laundry the other day and i hear addison in the kitchen saying "nap" and "night night". she was playing with her backpack that has her nap mat for school in it...she's just playing and talking. i come out of the laundry room, she has unzipped the back pack and this is how i found her...it was priceless. she wasn't sleeping, just pretending.

House decorating...phase 2
We finished everything in the yard a couple of days ago but had to wait on two other neighbors to finish the roof...They are both firemen with robert at ponderosa and it takes a rather large ladder to reach our rooftops...so today, the firetruck arrived armed with the ladder and off to the roofs they went...
Robert way up the ladder and Kevin and Tony making sure he doesn't fall off
the truck that allows us to have lights up on the rooftop every year
couldn't pass up this moment

Excursion to the Christmas tree farm
Growing up I never had the pleasure of having a real Christmas tree...we always had a beautiful tree but it wasn't real. I always wanted one and I thought to myself, hopefully I'll have a great husband that will want a real tree...I definately have that...so every year since we have been married, we travel down to get a real tree and cut it down ourselves...it's always a lot of fun. This year I wanted to put the tree in the family room so the tree could be BIGGER. We usually put the tree in the dining room and it has an 8ft ceiling. It wasn't fun in there because we could never see it. I wanted Addison to be able to see it every night...long story short...the big tree was a nightmare and it's only a foot or so bigger.
loving the hay ride to cut the tree down
checking out what the heck daddy is doing with this tree
saying cheese
in it's final resting place after falling a few times, it seemed so much smaller in the open field...we are crammed in the family room around this thing.

itsy bitsy spider....amen
let me set this video up. our little one says amen at the end of every prayer and she loves when we sing to her...so don't mind my singing in this video, but listen at then end, she says amen...it is too cute...don't know why all of a sudden she is saying at the end of songs...we sure don't sing our prayers...

house decorating..phase 1
Last night we decided it was time to decorate the house. We were short on a few stakes for the lights so we went on a wild goosechase all over town trying to find them...apparently everyone else decided to do the same thing. no one had the stakes and it was cold out, but we finally came across some at walgreens and started putting all the lights up. addison just loved being outside in her coat and hat and she looked so cute i had to share some of the pics.

box of fun
Janice, Heather, and i finally all got together last week for lunch and we went to my mother-in-laws restaurant. While we talked, she entertained the babies...and they loved every minute of it.

Elvis
I have never had the pleasure of seeing an elvis impersonator before but this weekend changed all that...we went to a friends surprise 40th b-day party and low and behold, there he was. it was stinkin hilarious. all the older people just loved him and apparently he was a star in vegas a few years back...and he comes with a hefty pricetag...we weren't too impressed with him but it is still worth mentioning...
