Yes, I have been off the grid but am trying my best to get back in the swing of things.
We have been busy running around. I've taken pics to prove it but it seems as our home computer doesn't want to cooperate. It is corrupt I tell you...corrupt. Hopefully my husband will get it sorted out soon so I can get back to blogging pics.
First, there was Halloween. The girls were so precious. Addison was Jesse from Toy Story and Ellie was Tinkerbell. They had a ball running around the neighborhood getting all the candy. Elisa and Caroline joined in on the fun as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. Ellie really took to the chocolate. Wait til you see that pic. priceless.
Second, I'd like to wish my mom a belated Happy Birthday, also on Halloween. and Mom and Dad had there anniversary Oct. 30 as well. They enjoyed it all in Vegas...what fun. We love you both dearly and our little homestead just couldn't run as smoothly without your help.
Thirdly, Ellie is 14 months old today. She is a spitfire for sure. She screams, points, Addison runs for whatever she wants. She can say mama, dada, cow, dog, no, uh oh...the general things a 14 month old should say but on a much louder scale. She will fight for what she wants and Addison has gotten to the point that she likes to tease her, which isn't cool. Ellie can get so worked up. She has all her one year molars, before most of the teeth in the front. strange for sure, but they are there.
Forth, Coty had a birthday Nov. 2. Happy belated birthday to you!! We didn't forget and we love you.
Fifth, Robert took his promotional exam about 2 1/2 weeks ago for Captain of the Houston Fire Department. He disappeared for about 3 months studying for the exam. We saw him at meals and bedtime for the most part. He devoted himself to studying and was incredibly dedicated to those books. Two days before the exam, he got an e-mail that the exam would have 75 questions from the material that he studied and 75 questions from randomness that wasn't from the material...I mean could you screw with some one's mind anymore than that. really. There are still no results from the exam. It is in litigation between lawyers and representatives. Hopefully, there will be closure and scores soon to report. This has been a catastrophe for all those involved. I feel sad for those that use ethnicity to get ahead instead of hard work and dedication.
Sixth, if you have stuck around long enough to make it this far. I've had a rough couple months with my crohn's. I'll spare you all the wonderful details of my rough patch because if you know the disease, you know what I've been going through. I started the dreaded steroids about 3 1/2 weeks ago and am going back into remission which is just wonderful. With steroids brings on new issues but I guess they are better than the flare. Some of you may remember my last bout of steroids, I was a terror...I've handled this round a LOT better. With all of this, I had a colonoscopy on Monday of this week and all was well in my colon but my small intestine was flaming mad. Hopefully, starting new drugs will get me back to normal!!! Because I am really ready to feel normal again and go out without worries again.
Hopefully there will be pics soon!!!
