Catchin up...

Since my last post, we have been pretty busy. The month of December seems to fly by as I'm sure it does for everyone else...the first weekend the girls and I went to Brenham because Robert worked over the weekend...when we arrived Saturday, mom and dad had the fire department Christmas party and they took Ellie while Coty, Grasyn, Addison and I went down to the Christmas stroll. It was FREEZING down there...but well worth it. We ran into many friends along the way and sat with Kelly and Avery. The girls all had a blast getting candy thrown at them and seeing the lights on the floats were really neat.


Santa was on the newly refurbished fire truck...this was special for me because this fire truck was used back in the day by my parents when they were involved in pumper races (i'll explain another time) but it was a lot of fun to watch as a kiddo...and I even got to ride around on it as a child...it's back in all it's glory...really neat. I'll tell ya that i lived in brenham my whole life until college and this was the first time i'd ever gone to the Christmas stroll...it was such a good time...gonna have to go again next year.

The first Sunday in December is also my family reunion on my dad's side of the family. We hadn't been in a couple of years so it was nice to catch up with my cousins that are around my age and see how there kiddos have grown. this is one of them with addison...meet madilyn, she just turned two and the two of them were inseparable...



Yesterday, Ellie had a blowout in her diaper (I know TMI...) but it required an early morning bath...as i finished and walked away from her tub to put a new outfit on her, this is what i returned too...the "little boy" was getting a bath. The entire bottle of soap was gone and she had the best time. i let her continue until most of the bathroom was covered in soapy water. she kept telling be to go in the other room, she was busy. i tried to get it on video but it isn't that great...i'll post it anyways...it's still pretty cute...FYI, when i bought the baby, i had no idea he was anatomically correct.



This pic was taken this morning, my little ellie is getting so big and i couldn't pass up pics in this really cute outfit...it was addison's as most of her outfits are but she is just so stinkin cute in it...it did require a jacket cause it's cold out today...look at that sweet face.

Ellie--2 months old

Ellie is 2 months old today...my how time has passed all too quickly. She is smiling and cooing...her personality is laid back so far and she is easily pleased with just being held. She is sleeping through the night most of the time and if she wakes up, you can count on it being at 4am...not to bad I'd say. We had her 2 month appt today, she weighed in at 11 lbs 4 oz and 22 1/4 in long...right on track in the 50th percentile....

Christmas Tree

We went this past weekend to cut down our Christmas tree and who did we find when we got there....SANTA....who looked a whole lot more fun from a distance than up close. Addison did not want to go anywhere near him. We thought this would be the year of the screaming child photo but we somehow managed to compromise and have her stand next to him...this may be the only photo we get this year...the dress up go to the mall photo is off Addison's agenda. She tells me she already took her picture with Santa and no more...so we shall see. at least we have this one.

we searched high and low for our tree this year or so it seemed as i pushed a stroller through the fields of Christmas trees...but finally way in the back far from where we started, we found the beauty that would be ours...Addison somehow managed to get extraordinarily dirty playing with the trees and sticks and had to have a bath when we got home...it turned out to be a great tree and a fun family memory.
