she dances all the time, it's particularly cute when she is eating a meal...until i get out the camera and then it all stops...anyone have an explanation for this phenomenon..can't say i didn't try...

garage sale

We had a garage sale a couple of weeks ago and no one could believe the turnout...had a line at one point out the garage to pay. it was crazy. it was only 4 hours but we were all exhausted by the time it was over...$400 made it all worth it but we were all super tired...robert took a couple of pics of all the cars and people.

Mother's Day Out

this is for you Kari since you so pointed out that some of your blogging friends haven't posted in a while.

I haven't posted because I haven't really taken my camera to many places lately. i even forgot to take it to my niece's first birthday party. and getting pictures from my dad or coty is like pulling teach(as addison calls them). i promise to post pics of the part as soon as i get an e-mail with photos attached (from one of the above mentioned slackers).

with all that said, i will now move on to something that is funny but not really funny. below you will find a scanned note from Addison's mother's day out teacher, Mrs. Diane...we get daily notes when she is there so we can kind of know how she did for the day. our dear daughter has picked up a word that is oh so inappropriate, and uses it in proper context which is a little distrubing...for your giggling pleasure: read below. and we don't know who to blame it on, we have both caught ourselves and our friends saying such a thing...but we are ever so careful now.

Big Girl Bed went well

Last night was a little stressful for us putting Addison in her big girl bed all by herself...to my suprise, it went extremely well. She cried her normal period of time and fell asleep. she didn't get up out of bed or anything...although she did get up extremely early and was standing at the baby gate waiting on us to come get her...and she didn't go back to bed...so we are in for an early nap.

We decided it was time to make the switch from crib to big girl bed...when she came home from mother's day out, she had a suprise...and boy did it go over well...

our neighbors freaked us out the other night when they told us their little girl climbed out of her crib and fell onto the floor...

addison is upstairs so the thoughts began racing though my mind of the thud i would hear not once from falling out of the crib but then again down the stairs...too much to handle.

so we made the switch and put a baby gate at the entrance to her room. wish us luck tonight as she fights us to go to sleep...should definately be intereting.

After a late night in college station seeing the lights, we stayed the night at nana's and woke up to all our presents under the tree there...next year we'll just have to do a lot of driving so Addison wakes up to all her toys from santa at our own house...

Every year we go to my aunt and uncle's for Christmas Eve and this year was no different except after the dinner was over, we loaded up the kiddos and went to Santa's wonderland in College Station. they had a blast but it was really cold out there...
