This past weekend Addison and I went and visited my grandmother in the nursing home. She is in a great one from what I can see. Almost all the people on her wing can still walk around which is great...this is how we found her...playing a little dominoes and drinking a little boost...great times. They were having such a good time talking with us they kept forgetting whose turn it was to play. it was pretty cute. Addison posing

expressions...
Ellie is so expressive and it is just downright cute...I'm trying to catch all her faces on camera but it's pretty hard to do so when I get it, not always the best and it will probably be on my phone but they sure are cute.
This was at the mall in the play area and she just didn't understand why should couldn't stand up
Trying to get a picture of her and Addison on the flowers...don't know who the little boy is trying to get in the pic.
Loving this frog

Dance Class...What?
This is true...Addison is in dance. A very strange pill for me to swallow seeing as I know absolutely nothing about dance. She has shown an extreme interest in dance doing it all over the house...tap, ballet, you name it and she surely didn't learn it from me so we decided to enroll her in dance and see how she does.
Had to call around to find out where she should go to dance and where to buy all her dance attire...thanks La Nae and Theresa for all your help in getting this started. She absolutely loved it...she came running out and told her daddy that she loved it and had an amazing time. it's the first thing that she can't wait to go back too.

First Day of Pre-School
Addison started 3 year old pre-school this year. She will go Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 8-11:15. This was her excitement to start a new year at school...
This was the reality when we walked in the room. Mrs Glynn was great with her...swooped her up and took her to start whatever task they were going to be doing for the day.
There were no smiles, only tears when we left...apparently the stopped shortly after we left the room. Now she tries to be shy walking in the room but quickly takes off to play with all the toys in the room.

Anniversary--New Orleans
This year Robert and I celebrated six years of marriage and decided to go to New Orleans. We had a great time seeing the city and how much they have rebuilt since the hurricane. Business looked good because there were people and shops everywhere. We drove on the edge of the ninth ward and didn't realize we were there but some of the homes are still standing that were involved in the hurricane with symbols spray painted on them. Most of the homes were new and filled with people.
The first night we hit bourbon street...stinky as usual and packed since the Texans were playing the saints. it was hard to get into any of the bars so we just walked...a lot. And if we weren't walking, we were gambling at Harrah's, which we won't ever do again. Not that great a casino and didn't pay out even small amounts of money. They did upgrade us to a suite so no complaints here.
We also went on swamp tour and that was really neat. Highly recommended if you have never done it. i forgot my camera during most of our stay there but i did remember it for the swamp tour. they have been unaffected so far by the oil spill so there was plenty of wildlife to see.
dinner at Brennens...amazing food
the swamp, really amazing. didn't know these waterways were cut by loggers. then someone decided to lay pipeline under
. not the job i'd want.
Robert holding the baby alligator
It was pretty hot out there but so neat to see a real swamp
Happy Anniversary to us...and many more.

Addison Singing..what is the question???
Addison has taken on performing as most 3 year olds have but this is interesting...she knows how to sing a LOT of songs but chooses to make up her own without real words at all...and she wants to be recorded...it is pretty funny.

Video of Ellie walking
This was a few weeks ago. She's walking so well now that she walked the mall yesterday. Most people were looking at us because she is so little, everyone got quite the chuckle.

Robert's Birthday
The girls and I want to wish the man in our life a happy 31st birthday. He is such a wonderful husband and dad and we just want him to know that we love him to pieces. It was yesterday...we started the day off with a little coffee and family time, then his mom came over, we all went to lunch and spent the afternoon hanging out. Robert and I snuck away last evening and headed to Vic and Anthony's for dinner...yummy. We were miserable after dinner but his birthday was wonderful. I don't have a recent pic of him but I promise to get better with my camera.

Somebody's Walking...at 10 months...
Our little bathtub princess is 10 months old today and is getting ready to be on the move. She is taking 3-4 steps by herself and burning holes in the carpet walking behind her toys. She is such an amazing baby and I really don't remember Addison doing all the things Ellie is doing. Actually, I know she wasn't.
Ellie at 10 months:
- ready for real food, forget the 3rd foods...bring on the pasta pick-ups, bread, carrots, mashed potato's, avocado, she wants it all.
- walking, but not well
- crawling at the speed of light
- has 5 teeth with the 6th peeking through
- loves to be chased
- wants things her way already(boy, are we in for it)
- can't get enough of Addison
- doesn't want to get out of the tub once she is playing.
- has an infectious laugh
- still a terrible napper in my husbands eyes.
- gives kisses when asked
- starting to wave bye-bye
- babbling away at whomever will listen.

Our first attempt at the pasta pick-ups...messy but she ended up eating them all
