Week of Family

This past week we were visited by Robert's sister and family. We had just returned from a little get away weekend at the Frio River when they arrived for an awesome week. We certainly had a full house. Missy, John, Johny, Mikey, Dani and Robby were all geared up for a week in Texas. They are from New York but moved out to Arizona a few years ago and we haven't seen them a a few years. Johny signed up for a baseball camp at UT so they ALL loaded up for the drive out to see us. The first day they were here, we went downtown to discovery green, the kids wanted to see what downtown looked like...certainly not much to look at but discovery green is nice.

We also saw a billboard for the circus and decided to go...thanks to Elisa for babysitting Ellie for us. We waited in line forever for tickets but finally got inside about 30 minutes lake and a thousand mosquito bites later.

Another day we went back downtown to the Aquarium to let the kids ride rides and have dinner. Ellie didn't mind watching so much. it was so hot down there. We stood in line forever to get tickets. The kids rode the carousel and the Ferris wheel and it was time for dinner....during dinner it began to poor down rain so our trip was cut short. we didn't make it to any of the exhibits or any of the other rides. it was still nice to see everything downtown.




By the end of the week, it was hard to say goodbye. We had such a good time seeing them all and spending time with them. Addison didn't know any of them when they arrived and called them all by the color of there shirts but by the end of the week, she was all over them calling them by there correct names. We sure hope the next time we see them isn't years away.
