"TT" trouble

So, not so funny story.

Last night, Halloween none the less, Addison had a little trouble in the TT area. we have been potty training for some time now and she has only been in a pull-up at night and nap. she has been doing absolutely amazing...no accidents.

she has been sick since last Thursday and one day only wanted to wear her pull-up. who are we to argue with a sicky...we let her wear it all day(and we changed it frequently). well, between the tt and the heat, she got a little irritated and it hurt for her to go. so Friday afternoon and no action, we went to the doctor thinking she had a bladder infection. that was not the case, no flu, no strep, no uti, just a nasty virus...so Vaseline and some bribery had been working to get her to go potty...

now for the real story...my parents came up to go out to dinner last night for their anniversary and len and dana came over to go trick or treating with addison. before we got her dressed, we asked her if she needed to go potty. she did but every time we took her in, she said she didn't want to go...well the time came, and we just sat her on the potty until she went...i sat in there along with dana trying to convince her to go and that it wouldn't hurt her. people would come in and out trying to bribe her and convince her to go but to no avail...i'll add that she is not really sick anymore...no fever since the early afternoon. the whining went on for about 10-15 minutes. Elisa and Caroline came over to trick or treat and addison loves Caroline...but that didn't even work. Elisa's mom suggested putting her hand in warm water and pouring it on her...we had tried everything else so why not??? it worked like a charm...she went, no tears...and all was well for the rest of the night except i looked like the biggest monster mom ever...making her sit there with company over.

now fast forward to today...no trouble all day going potty...until we get her ready to go over to her nana's. same thing, doesn't want to go...i look at robert and tell him it's his turn to take care of the situation...it sits in the chair, fakes a telephone call to mom, telling her we wouldn't be coming over, then pretends to get on the phone with the imagination movers(disney channel) and that mover rich says she needs to go TT in the potty before we leave so she can watch him on the way to nana's...Addison jumps off the couch, runs to the potty and goes with no problem....

really, i look like the biggest a** last night and he figures it out in 2 minutes...wtf!!!

fyi...he says he got the idea from Big Daddy when Scuba Steve had to come see the kid to get him to take a bath...why not try someone she loves to watch on TV...hilarious.
