Zoo Fun

Last friday, i had an OB appt to get an ultrasound so we thought it would be fun to take addison to the zoo afterward. she missed her nap time completely but it didn't seem to phase her...she loved it. it rained that morning so by afternoon it was steamy and hot, she didn't mind that either...it was great to go on a weekday. we pretty much had the zoo to ourselves. there were no big crowds at any of the animals so she could look at them as long as she wanted and run around without us chasing after her among all the people that crowd the place on weekends. we took her stroller but the only time she was in it was when we rolled up from the parking lot...after that, she was on foot...mad dash from animal to animal.

we got to see a lot of the animals being fed by staff, that was pretty neat...

this petting zoo went much better than the rodeo...she was terrified in the beginning but once she saw none of the animals were interested in eating her...she loosened up and ran around.


we promised her a ride on the train when we left...it was really neat...took us all through hermann park
